Scandinavium Arena
Classic Scandinavium is one of Northern Europe’s leading indoor arenas. The venue hosts top-notch concerts, shows, sporting events, exhibitions, fairs and corporate events.
Modern technology, flexible solutions, and advanced event logistics allow more than a hundred transformations annually. And spectacular lighting changes the character of the exterior depending on the event.
Scandinavium was inaugurated in 1971 in connection with Gothenburg’s 350th-anniversary celebrations. It is continuously maintained, rebuilt, and refurbished. All chairs were upgraded during the 2010s, and the newest restaurant has room for 700 guests. There are also additional restaurants and bars in the arena.
Accessibility is continuously improved, and there are spaces for wheelchairs in seven audience sections. The app Got Event Tillgänglighet can help with sign language, sight and speech loop interpretation at many events.
The centrally located arena lies in the middle of the event area, and it is easy to get here by foot, bike, or public transport. The tram stop is right outside the entrance.
